[Recommendation for Award Application] Enterprise Direction Application for Outstanding Contribution Award at the World Internet Congress 2025

In Ooty in 2024, small bridges and flowing water stir innovative energy, and boats swing open to sparkle bright stars: The award ceremony of the First World Internet Congress Outstanding Contribution Award was held at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Ooty Summit, with seven leading figures and 14 well-known enterprises from around the world winning awards. The award-winning individuals and enterprises come from various fields, including Internet infrastructure, mobile communications, Internet platforms, artificial intelligence, chip design, energy and power, and cyber security. They have drawn a diverse and prosperous Internet ecosystem, encouraging more excellent enterprises to devote themselves to the development of the Internet and jointly explore the possibilities of the digital future.

I. Filing Method
Awards are open to all businesses. The participating enterprises can declare independently or recommend them through the general assembly members. Councillors and senior members can recommend 10 enterprises, and members of other categories can recommend 5 enterprises.
Applicants should log in to the online application system (Outstanding Contribution Award) before 17:00, August 15, 2025 (Beijing Time) to complete the application at : https://awards.wicinternet.org.
II. Selection Conditions
With the development and evolution of digitalization, networking, and intelligence, the Internet has been widely integrated into various industries and continuously injects power to economic growth and the development of new productive forces. In view of this, the enterprise direction is open to all enterprises related to Internet technologies, models, or ecosystems to recognize the active exploration and outstanding contributions of various industries in the Internet field.
Declaring enterprises must agree with the purposes of the World Internet Congress International Organization, meet the basic requirements of the declaration category, and meet one or more other requirements. An enterprise can select up to two categories for application, and the previous award-winning enterprises must be separated one session before participating in the same category again.
Social contribution
1. Basic conditions: Enterprises actively undertake social responsibility, set strategic goals related to social responsibility, and implement them in daily operations to actively promote global sustainable development.
2. Other conditions
(1) Actively participate in international cooperation and promote global development in areas related to connectivity, cultural exchanges and mutual learning, digital economy, and cyber security.
(2) The business scale ranks in the forefront of the industry and makes positive contributions to socio-economic growth and job creation.
(3) Make outstanding contributions to social development through other means.
Innovation and Breakthrough
1. Basic conditions: Enterprises put innovation into the core strategy, high investment in innovation, boldly transform innovative ideas into products, services, projects, business models, and so on, and achieve good market benefits.
2. Other conditions
(1) Product service innovation can effectively address industry pain points and meet new market requirements.
(2) Innovate business models, break through traditional business models, and maximize business value.
(3) Operation management innovation: Improve operation efficiency and overall management level through digital transformation, talent management, and process optimization.
(4) Make innovative breakthroughs in other related fields, or make other significant innovative breakthroughs using Internet-related solutions.
Growth potential
1. Basic conditions: The enterprise has been established for less than 10 years. (Establishment Date on and after May 16, 2015) The growth rate is ahead of the industry average and has formed a competitive edge in the segment.
2. Other conditions
(1) The business scale has achieved significant growth in recent years.
(2) Have core competitive advantages in technology development, business sectors, business models, and operation management, and have good future growth expectations.
(3) Demonstrate huge growth potential through other means.
III. Award Evaluation Process
Phase 1: Award Application (Now - August 15)
Please submit your application within the specified time.
Phase 2: Expert review (August 15–August 31)
Authoritative experts and leading figures from relevant fields across the globe review the application materials and determine the list of candidates.
Phase 3: Prepare for awarding (early September – before the summit)
The organizer shall notify the selected enterprises to provide the audio, video and graphic materials required for awarding awards, and the representatives of the winning enterprises shall cooperate in preparing for on-site awarding and other related work.
Phase 4: Awarding ceremony (during the summit)
An award ceremony will be held during the opening ceremony of the Wu Town Summit.
