[April 23, 2025, Changsha, Hunan] The First Medical Industry Digital Ecosystem Innovation Conference and the 7th National Finals of the Smart Healthcare Innovation Competition with the theme of "Smart Leads the Future and Enlightens New Medicine" were held. The competition opened 26 competition zones. A total of 769 entries were collected, with more than 7,000 entries. 225 teams and more than 1,100 people participated in the National Finals and related conferences, and 496 hospitals registered for the competition, including 382 third-class hospitals. The first Smart Healthcare Innovation Contest was held in Hunan in 2017, expanded to six provinces in 2018, and started to go nationally in 2019. Today, the Smart Healthcare Innovation Contest has become one of the largest and influential events in the smart health field in China.
Hosted by the Hunan Computing Industry Ecosystem Innovation Center (medical industry), the Ministry of Education of Mobile Healthcare and the Joint Laboratory of China Mobile, the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance (NIDA) participated in the conference as an important support unit to enable digital healthcare transformation. At the opening ceremony, Wu Hequan, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech on "Building a Digital Ecosystem and Promoting Social Health Care" via video link. Academician Wu pointed out: The Internet has entered the digital intelligence era, and the medical industry has great potential in digital intelligence. Currently, the new round of information technology revolution represented by AI and IPv6+ converges with the key stage of China's medical digital transformation. NIDA Healthcare Industry Committee (to be established) officially launched
At the opening ceremony of the Innovation Conference, the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance (NIDA) Healthcare Industry Committee was officially launched. Representatives of medical institutions, including Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and representatives of ICT enterprises, such as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and ZTE, attended the launch ceremony of the NIDA Healthcare Industry Committee.
